How many Albion fans reading this blog entry would of taken a point before kick off at Craven Cottage yesterday? 12.30pm ( 14. 9. 2019 )
if the answer is yes? I also would of been more than happy
our trip to face Fulham at the historic Craven Cottage was without doubt our biggest test of the season so far
Slaven went with the same eleven which defeated Blackburn Rovers before the international break and rightly so IMO
Fulham look a very neat and tidy side, after managing to retain a large number of players which played in their Premier League campaign last season, their squad is a wash with quality and I expect them to be well in the mix come the end of the season
the home side got off to a strong start and Albion where on the back foot for long periods of the first half, I'm sure Slav was the happier of the two coaches to hear the whistle for half time
Fulham continued to threaten after the break, and the deadlock was finally broken after Anthony Knockaert's intended cross beat Sam Johnstone
the introduction of Krovinovic, Hal Robson Kanu and Edwards made a massive difference
and Albion deserved their equaliser which came courtesy of a Semi Ajayi header which was his first in West Bromwich Albion colours
Krovinovic's presence I thought allowed Sawyers to finally get involved in the game, he never had a kick in the first half
Charlie Austin got a valid ninety minutes under his belt, Nathan Ferguson produced another solid performance, Sam Johnstone pulled off at least two very good stops
so overall I thought a draw was a fair result, Scott Parker I'd imagine will be the more disappointed out of the two coaches to not take all three points, especially after his Fulham side put in such a good performance in the opening forty five minutes
from an Albion prospective it's another point on the board and we remain unbeaten
roll on the visit of Huddersfield Town
